Professor Leo Lerner
Professor Leo Lerner is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, martial arts instructor and owner at Raiz Jiu-Jitsu. Leo was promoted under master Ralph Garcia (Head Coach at American Top Team in Tampa, Florida) who is a Rinaldo Santos black belt (Carson Gracie Senior black belt).
Professor Leo started BJJ in 2002 under master Pablo Popovitch (former ADCC champion. Where he fell in love with the art and decided to dedicate many years of his life to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
He was also a co-owner of American Top Team in Doral, FL with a former top contender and knockout artist Thiago Silva. Professor Leo is also a former MMA competitor with a 5-1 record.
Our school specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing and MMA. We have over 20 years of experience in professional martial arts. Our goal is to give everyone in our community a chance to defend themselves, while staying fit.
Jiu Jitsu
Our Jiu-Jitsu classes teach fundamental skills, strong core values, and leadership while giving adults and kids from across our community the chance to connect with new friends and mentors. Come join us!
Kickboxing
Our classes are based on a blend of karate and boxing, also having some influence from Taekwondo and Muay Thai. Kickboxing can also be practiced for general fitness or in addition to you regular workout.
MMA
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling, ground fighting, and global martial arts. Our program helps you learn and improve on these fundamental techniques.
